I am currently an IMPRS fellow finishing my PhD in Astrophysics at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics
in Heidelberg. There, I study how the Milky Way disk formed and evolved using
forward modelling and statistical inference with the high quality data from the APOGEE spectroscopic survey and the Gaia
space mission. These tools are useful to investigate the past history of the Milky Way disk, using it as a model
organism for the formation and evolution of disk galaxies in a more global context.
